Who We Are

The Selkirk and District Labour Council is based in Selkirk, Manitoba, and generally serves union members and affiliated locals in Selkirk and the surrounding Interlake and northeastern Winnipeg region.

The council is one of the local labour councils affiliated with the broader Canadian labour movement and provides a regional voice for over 1300 workers in its district

We work to advance the rights, common interests, and welfare of working people through political action, education, community service, and active solidarity. We unite to build just, affordable, and resilient communities.

We are a chartered body of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC), representing over 3 million unionized Canadians.
